Clark Atlanta University (CAU), in collaboration with the National Science Foundation ADVANCE Leadership Program, hosted a three-day conference on women STEM faculty at HBCUs. The conference was held August 6-8, 2004, in Atlanta, Georgia. STEM women faculty from over 100 Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU) were invited to examine issues surrounding the recruitment, retention, and promotion and tenure of women faculty at their institutions.
