"Clark Atlanta University (CAU),
with funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF), has begun
valuable research on the status of women scientists at the nation's
HBCUs. Considering the interest to our institutions, it is paramount
that we are proficient in the collection and recording of this
data. Substantial progress has been made on this front. HBCUs
now have the means for compiling and improved monitoring of baseline
data on women teaching in the fields of science, technology, engineering
and mathematics."
Walter D. Broadnax, President, CAU
